I'm super ill. Like, stay in bed all day ill. I did manage to do 2 things of great importance today:
1. Take care of my little girl. I miss her, so I just Dayquilled up and took care of her.2. Upload all of our exclusive tour merchandise to the Flagrant site. That includes 3 new shirts and the limited Flashdrive version of 1st In A Series. That bad boy is even more limited now that we sold so many of them on tour. And I honestly can't promise any kind of a repress, so get that.
We're back. Some things I learned on this tour -
Touring is good. Or rather, Atomica Project touring is good. We sold 4x more merchandise then I expected. That has _never_ ever, ever, happened to me. In any band, on any tour, in my lifetime. You bought just as many flash drives as CD's. What does that mean? It means our fans are as cool as I thought they were. It means we feel appreciated, like all the work we've put into our music is absolutely worth it. Again, a first for me. I can't thank you enough for coming to the shows, supporting us, and all the positive feedback we got from the shows.
Lauren is crazy. Artist crazy, not unlike me. Dean is as cool as they come. And Corey is sorta mean, in a really hilarious way. I learned that I don't need to be a driving force for the barely motivated, as I've always been, on every tour I've done. I can trust the folks around me and take things as they come. I essentially tour managed the last part of the tour. And the decent, adult people in my band made it easy for me. Hell, they unloaded my gear last night so I could see my daughter before she went to bed. Without me even asking. No one has ever done anything like that for me. We've got a great bunch.
I started this project to get back to enjoying making music. I hated my last few years doing Christ Analogue. I hated caring about success, caring about sales, caring about reviews, press, exposure, labels, etc. I started this to enjoy the music and let everything else fall naturally into place. That is happening in a way I never imagined. We're already planning the next tour. And we are all very grateful right now. Tired, and we miss our van. But grateful nonetheless.

The tour has been great! We had a bit of a rough start (Dean had a 12 hour bout with travel sickness, I had the worst day ever in my favorite city ever + we took out an innocent gate with our back right tire) but I can stand here and say, yes, it's been worth it. We've had some really good shows, met some great people, Lauren and I have answered a lot of questions we had about doing this. Our flash drives have been a big hit. It's really been a great time overall.
I'd love to go into detail about everything, but we're a little burned out at the moment. I think I'll just make myself some more tea and chill out for a bit. You understand, right? We'll post plenty of details once we get home. We're playing in Boston tomorrow and Pittsburgh on Saturday.
In the meantime, a photo I lifted from Peterboysen's site. -

Our Brand New EP 1st In A Series Of Dramatic Events is now available for download on the flagrant site. We are extremely happy, even proud, of our work on this release. Please show us some love and pick up a copy!! The download sells for a mere $4.00. In a strange twist of events, flagrant now takes MC/Visa/Amex but no longer take Paypal. We're working on that.
This will probably be the last chance I have to blog before heading out on our cute, little, 10 day East Coast tour. Lauren will be keeping a tour diary on Facebook.
