Wow. I seem busy as f**k today - though I couldn't tell you (in 500 words or less) exactly what I've been doing.

One thing I've done, with the help of my partner in code, Dean Dunakin - is launch a brand new Atomica Project mailing list and send out our first newsletter. Now, why would you join our mailing list? A couple reasons. The main reason is we plan to do some experiments in music acquisition. Yes, you'll eventually get some free music by joining our list. We're not Radiohead, we're certainly not NIN - but we do have some interesting ideas of how we want to make and market our music. So, if you want to be involved with that, sign up. There's a simple and easy to use form now affixed to the right column of our site.

Not much else is going on. We're getting ready for our show with ElodieO this weekend - very exciting. We hope you will brave what looks to be very cold weather to come see us.

I'm not one of those people who's going to kill your Thanksgiving vibe by calling it Invasion Day.

People have short memories, I have a short memory. Regardless of its origins, Thanksgiving has evolved into a decent excuse to slip away from our 60 hour, no vacation work weeks and eat some good food with our friends and families.

So, you go do that.

I'm having my usual hyper-moody holiday season.

Holidays with a kid are quite awesome. I bought a tree, a real one. That used to be a horrible thing to do but us Democrats find new and ever changing ways to criticize and try to influence each other all the time. This live tree is now kind of the way to go. Especially since it was grown not too far away and my means of transportation to pick it up was - I walked and carried that fucker up the block with me. Anyway, Ella loves it. Tree is one of her favorite new words (practically interchangeable with her daycare provider's name Therese, at least in her world) so the timing couldn't be better.

Dean and I went up to Madison this weekend for the Sensuous Enemy release party. I did live sound. I hate live sound. Hate it, hate it, hate it. There are simply too many variables involved. Their drummer set up what looked like drums but sounded like math books filled with shit and it only went downhill from there. The band themselves were great, very impressive, and I'm sure it sounded fine to everyone in their right mind, but I'm just not one of those people. So, no more live sound for me.

After weeks of no sleep, no time with my family, and no days off to speak of - I'm now sitting around stressed out, hoping to get paid in time to celebrate the holidays with the rest of you job having people. This is, without a doubt, the most disappointing part of what I do.

Whoa, I'll post again once I have something good to say.
