A few months back I produced a relatively unknown electronic/goth/industrial/what have you band from Madison, WI called Sensuous Enemy.
They turned out to be really good people, we had great energy in the studio together, and I made a couple new friends in the process. Their vocalist, Jai, was among the most well prepared, professional vocalist I've worked with. She knew her business and is actually singing on one of the Milkfish tracks.
Anyway, the CD I worked on for them , Fragments, is now available on their website. Dean and I will be rolling up to Madison for their release party this coming weekend (where I'll be make a rare appearance as live sound guy.)
My work for The Contender has finally come to a close. The job spanned 6+ furious days, many late nights, and quite a bit of additional daycare for Ella. It was all rather silly, but I think everyone walked away happy with the music.
We have a show coming up in December. We'd originally planned to chill on the show front and concentrate on our next recordings - however, I really like this girl. She's working with another of my favorite artists, Brazilian Girls. Plus, I really like practicing and playing these days, so why not? It won't really hurt our recording progress, Lauren and I start working on that early next week.
I have a corrupted file. One of the Milkfish tracks is now forever gone. This makes the 2nd one I've lost. Shame was on a drive that happened to die as well. And I'm terrible about backing things up. It's not that I'm not capable, it's that I generally don't care. It's easy enough for me to essentially recreate things with this cursed musical memory of mine. Anyway, my point - I just ordered a 2TB drive and will spend the next day or so automating all this backup crap so it just happens while I sleep. Yay!

I've finished the first of 3 installments of my glitchy, kinda out there, IDM project. It should be available on iTunes in 6 months or so. I'm kidding, it really shouldn't be that long.
Now, onto greater things. It's time for Lauren, Dean, Corey, myself, and my AEA R84 ribbon mic to take it back to the streets and do a Atomica Project EP.
