As promised, a show announcement. We will be playing @ Subterranean on Wed, Aug 6th in a support role for Bitter:sweet. These guys are just amazing - it's the guy from Supreme Beings of Leisure, a huge influence upon my transition to the world of down tempo. More details to come . . .
It's a bit after midnight on Tuesday. My mind is running circles all over the place and I can't sleep. I'm having a glass of Shiraz and hoping it'll shut the hell down afterwards.
Today was eventful at the very least. I finished up a job for Biography Channel, finished up a job that I had previously lost for A&E. They made a very good decision and used the good music I wrote for them (as opposed to the kind of crappy music they had me write.)
Catherine and I took Ella to the park this evening. We owed her one as I was kind of lame and didn't take her on Monday. She's a crazy child. She's clearly a little behind on the talking thing. She's clearly way, way ahead on the physical thing. We've reached that 2 year mark in her life when people generally say you start to get your life back, start to sleep again, and just start to feel more human or "back to normal." I can vouch for that. My mind, after a 2 year vacation, seems to be coming back around. I have this theory that the whole process of having a kid is much more complicated than just a lack of sleep. I'm pretty sure it's biology playing a game with you. No one would ever have more than 1 kid if you were allowed to remember the process. It's that simple.
News in Atomica-Project-land, other than our cool new site - we're working out the details for a couple more shows before the years end. There was a distinct reason L and I wanted to assemble a local live lineup. So we could play a few more shows without paying for flights. So that's exactly what we're gonna do. I just did an interview for what has become one of my favorite music blog sites, I'll fill you in when it's posted. I'm starting to hunt and collect some new sounds for the next record. Yeah, that quickly. Considering Grayscale took like 3 years, it's probably in my best interest to start now.
Say hello to the brand new Atomica Project site! We've got some nifty new features, flashy album artwork, a new improved visual section, and more. Gone is the forum, on are the comments. As always, let us know if you run into any bugs or problems over the first few days.
A huge thank you to Dean for all the work he put into the site. We're bartering, I'll be working my ass off on a brand new Bounte record in the coming months.
In other news, my short lived relationship with Tunecore will be coming to an end real soon. While Grayscale is available on eMusic and a Rhapsody, it has yet to go up on iTunes. I apologize for that. Now, I just wish someone would apologize to me.
