We have a little line-up change in order for our record release party in May (details to come after this March show). We'd like to welcome in Dean Dunakin (you know him from his great work in Bounte) as our keyboardist. Percy is certainly still involved, he helped quite a bit with the production of Grayscale and will always have an in-clause to the band. But he's in New York, and I'm sure he's tired of flying in to do 1 show and leaving while battling to stay alive in the city that nearly ate me.

A few weeks back, Andrew (Iris) and I popped into the Darkroom to see some live hip hop. Lo and behold, there was the drummer I wanted to work with. He was playing for a band called Cookies and Dirt and just seemed locked in the entire time. His name is Corey McCafferty, very chill guy and we're just happy to have him involved. We all met up last week to make sure no one was was completely insane and that everyone has 2 eyes and such. It went well, it's a good group.

We're not even starting rehearsals as a group until after our March 23rd deal but it'll be pretty exciting to have more than 3 days to practice before a show!

I spent Thursday during the day cleaning the floors and the oven at our old apartment. That woman is crazy, and we need our deposit back. So, we’re putting a lot into it. Thursday night, Dean (who is also my hero) helped me move my sofa in 20 degree weather, in spite of his terrible cold. By the time I went to bed on Thursday night I was sick as a dog. I don’t think I got it from Dean, it was before that. I have a feeling it had something to do with working around oven cleaner with all the windows open in the dead of winter. Maybe? Anyway, all of this caused Catherine to miss work on Friday. She had to single handedly take care of Ella and run back and forth between apartments to clean while Ella napped. It was not fun. We’re still pretty exhausted from the whole deal.

I put my entire week up until that point into a new job possibility. I’ll expand on that if it goes anywhere but it’s kind of a dream situation so my fingers are crossed. I put my best effort into it, so that’s about all I can do at this point.

Also, Chris has released a new Micronaut record (so to speak, it’s Digital). It sounds great, I recommend you go check it out.

As I mentioned, L and I are doing a set @ the Darkroom on March 23rd. It's just her and I, possibly a violin player, doing a few tracks off Metropolitan. Should be nice and chill. As a bonus, it's a free show. As an even bigger bonus - it's sponsored by Shiner Boch, Chris Randall's favorite beer.

Lauren and I are going to spin things and do a minimal setup show @ the Darkroom on Sunday, March 23rd. Just her and I, a laptop, I'll be playing bass on some tracks, guitar on others, acoustic guitar on others. We'll probably have a live violin player or 2. And everything will be in remix form. I'm working on the dub version of Delorian right now. Should be cool, fun, and for once - low pressure and low drama. We're playing with a band from Seattle called Two Loons For Tea.

There is also a big 'ol Friday night release party in the works for May. Details to come . .
