a friend of mine (thanks Barbara!) is watching Ella this afternoon. And I just finished another Atomica song. I've also started rebuilding my room, starting with a couple solid core doors I bought for $10ea. I can't begin to tell you how sturdy of a desk this is going to make . . .
the one thing i've gotten right over and over again, my marriage. it's been 14 years today. no revisions, no disputes, no remixes.
Catherine and I had our 4th, yes 4th, get away since the birth of our daughter 14 months ago. Aunt Susan came over to babysit and we ran the hell off to see The Simpsons movie. It was nice. To top the night off, we put Ella to bed and pretty much slammed a big bottle of La Fin Du Monde. I haven't sat down and really had a drink with this wife lady of mine in, you guessed it, 14 months. Fucking crazy.
Somehow, in the course of my day, I found the time and energy to polish off 2 more tracks - so I'm now up to 6 completely no turning back done, 2 needing minimal edits, 2 needing some real mixing, and an instrumental that I'm sure to tear through. So we're getting close. If I can find the time to get a couple more done before I roll to New Haven next weekend, we may even start thinking about changing up this website, working on cover art, and posting some preview tracks before too long. Yes, there is still an Atomica somewhere out there . .
clearly, i have been living

for quite some time. In my defense, I'm not exactly the hippy type either. This is a LOT better than throwing money at Jewel or Dominick's for some recently de-thawed crap from California.
