Aside from nearly forgetting my audio interface and Lauren's in ear monitoring setup in my trunk, it's been a smooth morning. I'm all packed, the boys (and girls) are ready to roll. We have the flash drives loaded and nicely packaged. We could have easily sat this one out due to financial limitations, but the idea of killing our momentum when it's really just starting was just too much for me. It's a short, sweet little tourette. I'm really looking forward to all of the shows and we hope to see you there. Don't be shy. we don't bite. Lauren and I are both a bit on the sarcastic side, so watch out for that - but otherwise, please come say hello!!!! Hope to see you @ the shows!!

This is the original Atomica demo. I have a copy. Lauren has a copy. Chris Randall might have a copy. Someone @ Astralwerks (probably an intern) has a copy. And someone @ Sony London (again, intern). I'm pretty sure that's it. I just found the artwork floating around on an old drive, wanted to share.

I wasn't able to sleep last night. I spent the morning taking care of my daughter and the rest of the day working on some tracks for iScintilla and getting our live mixes ready for this upcoming tour. However, neither of those are the source of my restlessness.

Today is my daughter's first day of preschool. It's a simple meet and greet with the teachers, I'll be there the whole time, and it's only a 2 hour day. Tomorrow is her first full day. I've been having dreams just saturated with inner anxiety over this for about a month now. I can't believe, after 3 long years, I will be getting back to full time work/creativity. I loved taking care of my daughter as well but it was a challenge that nearly broke me. I've spoken to 100's of parents and can honestly say - my experience and my child in particular are both exceptionally unique. I won't rehash the details - I'll only say it has forever changed me, who I am. In the long run, I think, for the better.

On that note, the forthcoming year is a very exciting one for Atomica Project. This new found free time gives me the ability to work on how exposed both this band and our label becomes. I won't have to skimp on the details like I have for the last 3 years. Who knows, I may even have time to blog everyday! Our albums could even be released on time!!

In the meantime, we need your support. Our upcoming tour is without any kind of a safety net. Our last tour was such a success in large part to a substantial amount of support from our bff's over at Positron Records. This time around, we're depending on you guys to stop us from falling directly onto our faces. So please, post haste, go pick up a copy of the new EP. Lauren and I run the website, the label, this entire venture so you can rest assured however you choose to help us goes directly into our gas tank and directly effects our ability to continue touring and making music. Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty please!
